Know that everyday is a gift
So every breath we take is a chance to uplift
To inspire, to voice opinions, to exercise silence
To answer wisdom, to fight for the victims
To defend them, to witness, to remember,
to kill or resurrect, to feel or to neglect, to say no or yes,
to deny or to affirm, to teach or to learn, to preserve or to burn
To inquire, to light a fire, to cool a flame,
To shoot and aim, remove the pain, to use His name, but not in vain,
support a claim, rebuke or blame, provoke or tame, to love or shame, die or remain,
to give or take
And pray to God that we get to do it all again. That's the gift.
